Thales Mulwala Facility

FIRST CONTRACT IN AUSTRALIA TO DESIGN & BUILD THE INNOVATIVE INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER MEMBRANE FILTRATION SYSTEM: SMARTRACKTM

In July 2013, SUEZ was awarded a contract for design, construction and commissioning of a 1MLD  wastewater membrane filtration system, SmartRackTM, for Thales Australia at its Mulwala facility in New South Wales.

Covered by five patents, SmartRackTM uses a novel rack system that allows complete interchangeability of ultrafiltration membrane modules, through an innovative proprietary design of SUEZ. The solution is the first of its kind in Australia and allows complete flexibility and scalability for future needs.

The Wastewater Filtration System is intended to reduce discharge wastewater suspended solids levels below licensed limits and will be required to treat up to approximately 1MLD of wastewater per day.

The project reinforces SUEZ’s expanding commitment to provide innovative and reliable wastewater treatment solutions for projects of all sizes and meet the needs of industries throughout Australia.
