The treatment technology is highly flexible to handle factors such as variable population, limited space, environmental constrains like odors etc, dilute or low temperature effluents and storm water.

Our Experience

Having built 2500 purification plants for urban wastewater, with sufficient capacity to serve populations of between 10,000 and 1,200,000 people, Degrémont possesses unique expertise in the control of pollution in water before it is returned to the environment. Not only does this task require the ability to ensure complete safety 24 hours a day, in compliance with the strictest of standards, but also great operational flexibility, so as to face up to variations in volume linked to the seasonal nature of consumption or extreme weather conditions. In addition, in view of the requirements and the specific conditions that govern the installation of wastewater treatment plants in residential areas, it is obviously imperative that these facilities remain compact and that the pollution they produce is controlled.

Degrémont operate and maintain the Noosa waste water treatment plant which is one of Australia's most technically and environmentally sensitive plants. The plant treats waste water from the 45,000 residents of Noosa and has an ultimate capacity to treat 18 million litres of waste water per day. The key feature of this plant is the very high quality of treated water that is produced satisfying the Noosa community's environmentally sensitive requirements.
