COMMITTED TO SHAPING AUSTRALIA’S WATER FUTURE
SUEZ has more than 67 reference sites - including 26 water treatment plants, 2 desalination plants, 25 wastewater treatment plants and 14 water reuse plants and schemes - throughout Australasia, and is committed to sharing expertise with the Australian water industry.
Key drinking water references include the Prospect Water Filtration Plant in New South Wales (3,000 MLD) that supplies 85% of Sydney’s population with daily drinking water; the Perth Seawater Desalination Plant (144 MLD) in Western Australia, awarded the ‘Desalination Plant of the Year’ at the Global water Awards in 2007; and the global benchmark Victorian Desalination Plant (440 MLD) for the people of Melbourne when required, the world’s largest water industry private-public partnership.
We have been at the forefront of innovative and world-leading wastewater and reuse schemes with the design, build and operation of the Noosa Sewage Treatment Plant (12 MLD) and the Pimpama Wastewater Treatment and Reuse Plant (17 MLD) in Queensland; the Cronulla Wastewater Treatment Plant (52 MLD) in New South Wales; and the Hutt Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant (53 MLD) in Wellington, New Zealand.
In partnership with parent company SUEZ, we have established a new benchmark in the contracted management of water and wastewater assets and networks. In South Australia, as a member of the Allwater consortium, SUEZ supplies water, wastewater and recycled water services to more than 1.2 million people in the city of Adelaide. In Western Australia, as a member of the Aroona Alliance, we operate and maintain all water production, wastewater and reuse assets, including dams, for the city of Perth’s 1.9 million residents.
With more than 40 years’ experience in Australia, we will continue to share our expertise and deliver on our pledge – certainty at a cost-effective price!
