WE ARE FOCUSED ON SUPPORTING AND ENGAGING WITH THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH WE LIVE AND WORK

Community consultation, open dialogue with stakeholders, and supporting the communities in which we operate is imperative to SUEZ.

Effective engagement is at the heart of our approach to community relations. We strive to:

  • Ensure all employees are aware of their obligations with respect to community relations
  • Recognise that each community is unique
  • Listen to community needs and expectations, and seek feedback
  • Become an active member of the community through involvement in social, recreational, wellbeing, charitable and cultural initiatives
  • Periodically review and revise our community relations’ policy to maintain their relevance

These principles are actively applied through our operations to ensure the ongoing success of our business, and effective communication with the community.

The primary engagement methods used for all projects are:

  • Recognising and responding appropriately to community enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensuring all communication with external stakeholders is delivered timely and professionally
  • A commitment to supporting the community in which we operate through an “Our vision, Our values” statement, which commits us to making a positive difference through open and honest communication, supporting  communities, and always behaving ethically
  • Establish clear lines of communication for plant-site neighbours
